Contemplative Meditations
The purpose of meditation is to touch the Spirit within, that I
which is always knocking at the door of our consciousness for recognition, but which all too often we fail to hear because we
are so busy centering our attention on getting the meat that perishes and the bread that quickly becomes stale and moldy.
Contemplative meditation takes us beyond words and thoughts, not by resisting them, not by fighting them, but by using them.
Then, when a point of inner stillness is reached, we are at peace.
Lorraine Sinkler - The Alchemy of Awareness
Below you will find a sampling of Contemplative Meditations taken from Lorraine Sinkler's Class Work. These audio
sections from her classes are spontaneous meditations which came to Lorraine during periods of uplifted consciousness and are
not in any sense intended to be used as affirmations, denials, or formulas. They are examples of the free-flowing of the spirit.
As you practice the presence, you, too, in your exalted moments, will receive ever new and fresh inspirations as the outpouring
of the spirit.
